“Skin and Bone or Send Them Home” Is Ferguson’s First ever screen-print and follows a different style compared to her later prints. The image itself has less ‘dots per inch’ and therefore has a much more posterised result. This piece represents every time someone suffering with disordered eating has been turned away from medical professionals because they ‘did not look like they had an eating disorder’. It happens too often that someones eating disorder is not considered serious because of their weight or the way they look, when ANYONE of ANY SHAPE can suffer from this disorder. Ferguson’s work has become more stylised since this piece but her passion for representing mental health has stuck.
